TEXAS RACEWAY – 2013 JR & BRACKET INFORMATION

· POINTS SIGN UP

* Bracket – points sign up is $25 for first class and $20 for a second class. There is no charge for a third or fourth class. However you MUST sign up all class you want to earn points

100% of the points sign up money goes towards the payout in Super Pro, Pro and Foot Brake at the end of the year. All five classes receive a Gold Card.

· POINTS EARNED

Points are earned ONLY after you have signed up for points. There is NO GRACE PERIOD this year.

Drivers will earn ten (10) points for first round. The driver will earn an additional ten points for every round won. The Runner-Up in each eliminator will receive one (1) bonus point and the Winner will receive ten (10) points for winning the round and two bonus points.

A driver may not drive more than one car in the same eliminator. Points are awarded to the driver.

In the event of a tie the computer will determine the points standing.

Overall tie breaker is “Who won the most points last”. The second tie breaker is who went down the track first in eliminations.

Every points race will count towards track points.

Be sure to verify that your points are correct via the web site and posted at the track by the concession stand. Every effort is made to insure they are correct but mistakes can happen. You have two weeks to advise the track of a possible error so it can be researched. Call the track with the number of points you should have for each race.

If you drive someone else’s car be sure to put your number on the driver’s window or you will not get your points.

Check your time slip every round of eliminations to make sure your car number is listed. If incorrect come to the tower sometime during the race to have it corrected.

· DIAL-IN’S

All drivers must have a permanently affixed (bolted, clamped, Velcro, etc) dial-in on their car that may not be removed at any point prior to crossing the finish line. Any dial-in board, shoe polish or decals are permitted as long as they are clearly visible from the tower and displayed on the left side of the vehicle.

· QUICK

Brackets – combination of Door cars and Dragsters. Qualified field of up to 16 or 24 or 32. The #1 Qualifier will alternate between the Door cars and the Dragsters each race. There will be a flip of the coin at the first race of the season to determine whether the #1 Qualifier goes to the Door car or Dragster.

Class will be paired using cards with the quickest car receiving lane choice. The #1 Qualifier (alternated each race between Door cars and Dragsters) will receive the 1st available bye run if he/she is still in competition. General Rules
(Applies to all types of Racing)

All racers are required to comply to ALL Current Year NHRA rules including chassis certification and Licenses.

Alcohol consumption by participating drivers is strictly prohibited.

Speed Limit in the pits is 10 mph

No burnouts in the pit area or return road.

No glass bottles are allowed on track premises.

When racing if you experience a problem with your car, please pull to the side of the track and stop. This will help keep fluids off of the racing surface.

COURTESY STAGING – is required for Bracket racers

TIME OUT – Once 3 bulbs are lit you have 10 SECONDS to stage before being timed out and receive a RED LIGHT.

DRIVERS LICENSE – Required. You may be asked for proof.

WORKING TAIL LIGHT – One is required

Mufflers are encouraged in all classes.

If you are having trouble with your car and feel you need an additional time trial talk with the tower and they will work with you.

GOLF CARTS, SCOOTERS, BIKES, FOOT SCOOTERS

You must be 16 years and older to drive a motorized scooter/ATV/etc to assist parents

WITH PARENTS PERMISSION ONLY

You MUST have a drivers license to drive a golf cart or scooter.

The following will NOT BE ALLOWED:

NO BICYCLES OR FOOT SCOOTERS ALLOWED AFTER DARK BY ANYONE UNDER 16
